Hole Is Mine Build Planner Worksheet

Sectioned loadout planning so every equip slot has a job before you dig deeper.

Build Planner

The Build Planner is a worksheet-style page for Hole Is Mine loadouts. Fill each section before a serious Depth push so Heavy/Heaxy axes, Friendship Wool, Bravery Helmet, Holy Blook, and clone Mini’Oh items are choices—not accidents. Use rankings from the Equipment Tier List, openings from Early Game Builds, and catalog notes from the Equipment List while you plan.

How to plan a loadout

  1. Name the goal Depth band.
  2. Name the bottleneck (mining, collection, throw, survival).
  3. Assign one primary Mini’Oh carry (see Mini’Ohs Guide).
  4. Fill strike, survival, synergy, special, crew, and throw sections below.
  5. Align upgrade spends with Upgrade Priority and tick them on the Upgrade Checklist.
  6. After the run, note results on the Depth Tracker.

Controls stay simple—WASD move, left click mine, bag throw for Incursion—so planning energy should go to roles, not button charts.

Section A — Run identity

Run name / date: ___________________________

Target Depths: ___________________________

Opening build reference: A carry specialist / B axe-forward / C balanced / custom

Primary bottleneck today: mining DPS / collection / throw / survival

Carry Mini’Oh name: ___________________________

Support Mini’Oh roles: haul ______ / utility ______ / experimental ______

Write one sentence describing the collect–upgrade–Incursion plan for this session. If you cannot, you are not ready to spend currency.

Section B — Strike / axe slot

Equipped: ___________________________ (Heavy Axe / Heaxy Axe / other)

Why this axe: clear speed / synergy / only option

Backup axe: ___________________________

Matching upgrades purchased? yes / no — list: ____________________

Tier note from Equipment Tier List: S / A / B / unknown

If mining is not the bottleneck, do not let this section steal the whole budget.

Section C — Survival slots (helmet & wool)

Helmet: ___________________________ (Bravery Helmet / other)

Wool / synergy: ___________________________ (Friendship Wool / other)

Wake routine noted? yes / no

Survival upgrades this session: ____________________

Helmets buy time; wool buys cohesion. Empty survival sections explain many “random” sleeper spirals.

Section D — Special / Holy Blook path

Special piece: ___________________________ (Holy Blook / other / empty)

Session length planned: short / medium / marathon

Blood / equip leveling nodes: ____________________

Reason to equip now: compounding / experiment / none—leave empty

Holy Blook rewards time. If you only have twenty distracted minutes, say so and keep the slot practical.

Section E — Crew / clone Mini’Oh

Clone item equipped? yes / no — name: ____________________

Carry template proven? yes / no

What the clone multiplies: haul / strike support / utility

Risk if clone fails: ____________________

Never clone a question mark. Clone a sentence you could already defend.

Section F — Throw / Incursion adjuncts

Throw gear: ___________________________

Incursion rule this run: throw only when bag feels ______ full

Reliability upgrades: ____________________

Payout upgrades: ____________________

Last Incursion lesson: ____________________

Empty bags plus fancy throw gear is a planner fail—fix Section A and collection roles first.

Section G — Swap rules

Write pre-commit rules so mid-Depth panic does not redesign the build:

  • If walls stall for N pushes, swap ___________________________ into strike.
  • If bags starve, swap ___________________________ into collection.
  • If sleepers pile up, swap ___________________________ into survival.
  • If Incursions disappoint after full bags, swap ___________________________ into throw.

Section H — Post-run review

Depth reached: ______

What worked: ____________________

What lied: ____________________

Next planner change: ____________________

Infinite Hole note (optional): ____________________

Example filled sketch (early campaign)

Run identity: Carry specialist toward mid Depths. Bottleneck collection. Carry Mini’Oh funded. Strike: best early axe, Heavy/Heaxy noted as goal. Survival: any helmet + Friendship Wool if available. Special: Holy Blook empty until longer sessions. Clone: no. Throw: basic reliability only. Swap rules favor haul gear if bags stay light. This sketch mirrors Early Game Builds advice without freezing creativity.

Closing

Planner sections exist so five hundred–plus combinations collapse into a handful of intentional slots. Fill the worksheet, dig, then edit—do not reverse that order. Return to the Tools Hub for checklist and tracker companions, and keep the Builds Hub open when a section needs tier context. Plan the Hole; then own it.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about Hole Is Mine progression and builds.

Do I need to fill every section every run?

Fill Run identity plus the slots you will actually touch. Empty sections are fine when marked intentional—not when forgotten.

Where should I look up item roles while planning?

Use the Equipment List for catalog context and the Equipment Tier List for S/A/B power guidance.

Can I use this planner for Infinite Hole?

Yes. Emphasize Holy Blook, clones, and multiplicative notes once the ~40 Depth campaign is cleared.

How does the planner work with Mini'Ohs?

Section A and E force a carry identity and clone discipline. Read the Mini'Ohs Guide if those lines are hard to answer.
