Hole Is Mine Equipment List & Slots

Catalog-style notes on gear roles so every slot serves the dig loop.

Equipment List

This Equipment List is a catalog companion for Hole Is Mine. It explains how to think about slots and highlights notable pieces you will hear about across Builds pages—Friendship Wool, Heavy and Heaxy Axe variants, Bravery Helmet, Holy Blook, and clone Mini’Oh items. For S/A/B rankings, use the Equipment Tier List. For openings, see Early Game Builds. Crew context lives in the Mini’Ohs Guide.

How equipment fits the game

Shelly mines with left click while moving on WASD; Mini’Ohs collect and support; the bag throw triggers Incursions. Equipment modifies those verbs. With five hundred–plus combinations, you will not wear everything. You will rotate toward mining DPS, throw damage, collection, or survival depending on the Depth wall in front of you. Campaign length near five hours assumes you stop treating every drop as mandatory.

Slot mindset (catalog framework)

Exact UI labels can vary by patch, so think in role slots:

  • Strike / axe slot — Mining DPS. Home of Heavy Axe and Heaxy Axe style pieces.
  • Head / helmet slot — Survival and push stability. Bravery Helmet archetype.
  • Body / wool / charm slot — Synergy and soft buffers. Friendship Wool archetype.
  • Special / relic slot — Long-term systems like Holy Blook (blood and equip leveling).
  • Crew / clone slot — Mini’Oh multipliers and clone items.
  • Bag / throw adjuncts — Anything that changes Incursion throw outcomes.

If a new item appears, ask which role slot it occupies before asking whether it is “good.”

Notable pieces catalog

Friendship Wool

Role: Survival / synergy. Keeps crew-oriented builds coherent and softens rough Depths. Best when you already specialized a carry Mini’Oh; wool will not fix an equalized mess by itself. Pair with wake habits from the Mini’Ohs Guide.

Heavy Axe / Heaxy Axe

Role: Mining DPS. The headline strike tools for clearing walls and nodes faster. If left-click mining feels endless, prioritize this line (or the best axe available) before chasing vanity relics. Supports axe-forward early builds and Beta upgrade sequences on Upgrade Priority.

Bravery Helmet

Role: Survival. Enables ambitious pushes by reducing the reset tax from Depth pressure and constant sleeper crises. Equip before you “git gud” your way through preventable failures.

Holy Blook

Role: Blood and equip leveling over long sessions. Strong mid-campaign and excellent for Infinite Hole where compounding matters. Early minute-one priority is lower unless you plan a marathon dig immediately.

Clone Mini’Oh item

Role: Collection / crew scaling. Multiplies a template. Clone excellence, not confusion. Wait until the carry is obvious, then amplify.

Throw-oriented bag gear

Role: Incursion power and reliability. Essential when bags fill but payouts disappoint. Do not stack throw gear while bags stay empty—fix collection first.

How to evaluate a new drop (worksheet)

  1. Name the role slot.
  2. Name the bottleneck it claims to solve.
  3. Compare to your current piece in that slot.
  4. Check archetype tier on the Equipment Tier List.
  5. Log the swap on the Build Planner.
  6. Verify Depth impact on the Depth Tracker.

Sample loadout sketches

Opener: Best early axe + any wool/helmet survival + carry-focused crew setup. Throw gear optional until bags are real.

Mid-campaign: Heavy/Heaxy axe line + Bravery Helmet + Friendship Wool + emerging Holy Blook if sessions lengthen.

Infinite Hole prep: Keep the axe/helmet spine, lean into Holy Blook leveling, add clone Mini’Oh item once the crew template is clean.

Synergy reminders

Axes without collection create empty Incursions. Wool without a carry wastes synergy. Helmets without wake discipline still leave sleepers down. Holy Blook without time-on-tool underperforms. Clones without specialization multiply the wrong build. Equipment is a conversation with Mini’Ohs and upgrade trees—not a isolated fashion show.

Inventory hygiene

  • Keep one backup axe and one backup survival piece when storage allows.
  • Do not hoard five B-tier charms “just in case” during a hard wall.
  • After major Depths, prune inventory against the four archetypes.
  • When unsure, prefer the item that reinforces collect–upgrade–Incursion.

Linking out

Return to the Players Hub for roster navigation. Rank pieces via Builds. Tick acquisition goals on the Upgrade Checklist when upgrades and gear goals travel together.

Closing

The Equipment List will grow as the community names more variants, but the slot framework stays useful: strike, survival, synergy, special leveling, crew clone, and throw adjuncts. Name the slot, serve the bottleneck, and let Hole Is Mine’s single-player incremental systems reward clear choices all the way through ~40 Depths into Infinite Hole.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about Hole Is Mine progression and builds.

Is this a complete database of every item?

It is a catalog-style framework with notable examples. Use role slots to classify new drops, then check the Equipment Tier List for power ranking.

Which piece should new players chase first?

The best available axe plus basic survival (helmet/wool). Fund a carry Mini'Oh in parallel before specializing into Holy Blook or clones.

Where do Heavy Axe and Heaxy Axe rank?

As mining DPS archetypes they sit at the top of strike gear discussions. See the Equipment Tier List for S/A/B context.

Does Holy Blook replace a helmet?

Usually no. Holy Blook is a long-session leveling specialist; Bravery Helmet covers push survival. Different role slots.
